Our personal journey through foreclosure
The 2008 economic downturn brought a disaster to my family through foreclosure. Like many, I had no idea that surplus funds even existed, nor did I know there was anyone who could help or guide us. My family, including my elderly mother with disabilities, struggled for many years without ever recovering financially or emotionally/spiritually from the shame and anguish of that disaster. We ended up separated among family members, living in different states. Life was never the same again. In total disappointment and perceived failure, I searched for years to find the very answers that I now present to all my potential clients. I come with the experience needed to empathize with my clients. While I am ecstatic to find the answers that I needed but could not find, I am chomping at the bit regarding a system that actually forces families to survive so haphazardly, while purposefully hiding the truth in plain sight, yet legally covering their backs.
